Am I doing something wrong in my fasting?

For a healthy adult, fasting is not harming the body any more than exercise is harming the body. We are to keep our bodies “subject” to our will. It is training.

Would it maybe make sense to do a water and vegetable fast, so at least the calories and nutrients are healthy? Gaining weight and fat during the fast seems a bit counterproductive to me. And to make it more sacrificial, skip the butter and any seasoning. Like a microwave steamer bag.

I think fasting is perfectly normal and healthy but fasting isn’t replacing all of your calories with bread. Bread as it is today isn’t even healthy, I think it’s harmful. I cut out bread and sugar, my heartburn went away along with seasonal allergies. If I eat bread again it comes right back.

Well, opinions about bread are a whole 'nother bucket of worms 🙂
