I express no opinion (although I have one) on whether God is “perfect.” But “by definition?” No. A being isn’t perfect because humans define it to be so. It either is or isn’t perfect on its own merits, independently of definitions (or, for that matter, of the existence of humans or other beings with the intelligence and linguistic powers to “define” what they mean).
So let’s recast the claim: “Granting for purposes of discussion that God is perfect . . .” and go from there. You now must tell us what you mean by “perfect” in this context. For it may well be a different meaning than I or others place on the term.
God doesn’t “define” reality. Humans define terms; God doesn’t. To “define” something is to declare its meaning, not to create the object of that meaning.
So let’s recast the claim: “You’re telling me an omnipotent god couldn’t create reality in such a way as to allow it . . .” and go from there.
