Is it possible that after there was land and vegetation, there was more oxygen in the atmosphere, and at that point maybe the sun, moon, and stars would have become more visible
A huge rationalization but not rational. Oxygen has nothing to do with clarity… and we are not told the air cleared and the heavens became visible, but that the sun, moon, and stars were created.

And - how do you get vegetation without the sun - invisible or not yet created? 🤷

Do you believe in the 6000 year age of the world?

4.6 billion years old would be more like it. I can’t nitpick about the exact meaning of the words in Genesis because I am not a biblical scholar, and I don’t know Hebrew. Sometimes part of the meaning is lost in translation.

Earth did not have oxygen in its original atmosphere. If it was anything like the atmosphere of Venus, you probably couldn’t see through it very well, just like we here on Earth find it very difficult to see the surface of Venus ( the atmosphere is too thick.)

Are there any scientists or biblical scholars who could join in this discussion?
