Am I going to Hell?

Ok so I have fallen into mortal sin, the sin being lust. My priest is out of town until tomorrow and I have no way of confessing my sin to a priest until he returns tomorrow. But what happens if I die tonight and do not have a priest to forgive me, am I going to go to hell? I have asked the Father for his forgivness along with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and intercession through the Blessed Mother. Having said that, I am not in a state of grace until I can get a confession tomorrow, and people who are not in a state of grace go to hell. What am I to do? I am very worried and upset over this. I am truly sorry but feel as if it isnt enough. I honestly try to do my Fathers will in Heaven and time from time I fall into sin, im not perfect but when I fall short of perfection it upsets me. I know God wants me to be perfect as he is perfect and I have let him down today. I dont know how to make it up to Him.

So my question is, my fellow brother’s and sister’s what kind of state is my soul in right now? Thank you in advance for your replies, they’re much appriciated. God Bless!
 
As more than one priest has said before, “God doesn’t ask the impossible.” You have done the best you can for now. You are going to Confession asap. God isn’t looking for loopholes to send you to Hell. He loves you and knows you are trying to do the right thing. Trust him.
 
Make a sincere, and I mean SINCERE, Act of Contrition and then do everything possible to get to confession right away! Ask God to give you this grace. Your sincere repentence and firm resolution to confess and amend your life will keep you from hell.

But you must be sincere, and it seems to me that you are. I will keep you in my prayers. Don’t lose faith and don’t despair. God is merciful. The only truly unforgivable sin is final impenitence. Don’t let the evil one lead you to think you’re so bad that you’ll never be forgiven! “Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.”

I’ve been told that we send ourselves to hell.

As long as we are doing everything we can to be right with God and truly sincere, he will help us for he loves an doesn’t want us to burn for all time.

God is merciful and forgiving. He loves us so much. We can never exhaust the mercy of God because it’s endless. We have to sincerely ask for forgiveness for having offended God not because we are afraid of going to hell but because He loves us, we love Him, He is all Good and deserving of all our love, and sin offends God.

God is so merciful that He forgives us even up to that last breath of life for as long as we are truly sorry for having offended Him. Then after asking for pardon, make a resolution to immediately go to confession and not to offend Him anymore by avoiding near occasion of sins, amending our lives with the intention only to do good and do only His most Holy Will. God is pleased when we ask for forgiveness with a humble and contrite heart.

If the priest in your area is not available then just approach another priest from another parish. They would be very willing to hear your confession. That’s what I always do when I do not make it to the weekly Saturday confession schedule in our parish. I just approach a priest on Sunday or any day of the week.

It is a great grace to be have our souls bathed in Jesus’ most precious Blood during confession to be cleansed from our sins and to be loaded up with graces given freely by Our Good and Generous Lord Jesus. Like our physical bodies that need to be bathed very often or else we would stink, same thing too with our souls. We all need good scrubbing… God bless!

Was it lust or just a natural attraction to a woman (or girl, not sure of your age)? Some may say its the same. There is nothing sinful IMO to be attracted to somebody of the opposite sex. God instilled that into your framework. Now if you act on it, or if you are married and lust for another woman, then there may be a problem. However, if you fell guilty about it, pray on it or go to confession if you feel in your heart you’ve sinned.

Having perfect contrition will allow you to regain the state of grace. Of course, this is coupled with the intention to go to confession as soon as possible, and even if you have the state of grace, you may not receive Communion until you have confessed any unconfessed mortal sins.
 
Is Lust when you have sexual thoughts?
Or is it lust when you have remembered a good looking person fully dressed and felt like you like her but there are no thoughts of you trying to do anything to her?
Im not married 15 years old male and ive experienced the 2nd one?

According to the Catechism:
2351 Lust is disordered desire for or inordinate enjoyment of sexual pleasure. Sexual pleasure is morally disordered when sought for itself, isolated from its procreative and unitive purposes.

Simply put to look at a person of the opposite sex and think to yourself that they are attractive (good looking) or anything like that, no that is not falling into the sin of lust.

When you use them for your own benefit and sexual urges then yes that is lust. Thinking about them naked, thinking about having sex with them, mastubating while thinking of them, etc. then that is sinful, the sin of lust.

If you fall into the second category of the ones that you have mentioned I think that you have feelings for this person and there is nothing wrong with that. You are human!! :rotfl: Maybe they feel the same way? You never know!
 
I just need to ask a couple more things because i really want to know if i’ve done wrong.
1st:
If I went to sleep having no lustfull thoughts nothing ‘nil’ you looked at no porn etc and in the morning you have a dream of a lady that is dressed and everything and you end up having a nocturnal emmision would this be a mortal sin this lady also is not real it was just made up by your mind as you slept or would this be a veinal sin because it states that all Grave sins “Mortal” Must be intentionally done?
I never had the intention for it to happend?
2nd:
If you do commit lust or if what i stated above was lust if you pray to god for forgivness and truly repent and are sorry with all your heart would you be forgiven until you go to confession so you can have the holy bread at church?
I dont mean like someone that just prays for forgivness i mean someone that is sorry last time this happend i cant explain how sorry i prayed for about an hour just for forgivness and i talked to god about it and i seriously had no words to explain how sorry i was it was really this bad feeling you want to say sooooooooooooooooooooo… much you end up feeling like ripping your heart out just to prove you are sorry and you feel bad you feel like the world will end for you because you have done this you feel guilty.
would god forgive you so you can get christ’s body in who you belive in with all your heart and then go to confession?

Nothing wrong with nocturnal emissions in the slightest, they are a perfectly normal and natural bodily function.

And you can’t always have perfect control over your thoughts either - this is most especially true when you’re asleep or only half-awake.

The only difficulty is when you consent to the thoughts and stay with 'em rather than immediately dismissing (or doing your best to dismiss) them.
 
So if I had the thoughts while i was sleeping and they werent sexual and i had no intention of doing it before i went to sleep it isnt a mortal sin?
If that is True that it isnt a mortal sin I will most probably be happier then i was in the last 7 months LOL! Over the last 7 months this has been killing me i gave up masturbation as soon as i found out it was a sin and now this was killing me.

You cannot control your dreams that you have when you sleep. There is no sin in any dreams you have. From what you say, you are not in a state of mortal sin. But your dreams do sometimes reflect your waking thoughts, or movies you see or books you read. So you can help keep your dreams be more pure by really working to control your thoughts and what you see during the day.

If you have no intent, there is no sin. There must be intent to commit a sin for it to be a sin.

I am not a Catholic but if you know that Jesus really loves you, you will know that he is full of mercy and grace and forgives a lot faster than anyone on this planet can. He tells us the standard is seventy times seven…for us. Now figure it out if you confessed your sins to Jesus, who is called the faithful High Priest, who is sensitive to all your infirmities having been through it all and without sin. That makes him a really super father figure, loving, tender, understanding. If you were my child and were so open and repentant about your sin, I would forgive you in a flash. Perhaps you need to ask Jesus to teach you how much He loves you. When he puts his arms around you, you will know exactly what I mean.

You are incredibly precious in your desire to please God! Please do not fret about this as there is no sin on your part. Here are some links to this very same question asked of the CAF apologists. It’s a common question and one that is always answered the same way! No sin!

There is ordinary forgiveness and absolution–confession–and extraordinary–what you are. Relax.
 
One must keep in mind, you start lusting when you are fully aware of what you are doing, occassionally random sexual thoughts may enter your head, no matter how horrid it is, if you push it away, it is not lust, when you actively keep that image in your heard and process it further for your own gratification that is lust.

If you are dreaming then it’s not lust either because not everyone can control their dreams.
 
I just wanted to know something else if you were planning to go to confession and like say on sat something comes up or you cannot go because your mum or dad isnt going and you die before the next saturday would you go straight to hell if you had a mortal sin or would you still end up in the purgatory and have a chance?
And if you ask god for forgivness and you truly repent you die before going to confession what would happend would you be forgiven if you did this and it was a mortal sin like lust?
 
God isn’t trying to send to to Hell on a technicality. In your example, you have done your best, love God and are sorry. Everyone has to trust in God’s mercy, which he has shown he is willing to give over and over. Don’t set yourself on the path to scrupulosity. Remember how much God loves you and that he doesn’t ask the impossible of us.
 
The guilt is comming back now last night i feel asleep about 1 hour latter i woke up and i turned around and tried to masturbate and i stopped but after it i continued and finished it im asking ym self why did this have to happend after i had a good day i stopped doing this 3months ago and now somehow it happend when i didnt want it to druing the day i didnt even think of doing it and i havent seen anything rude to start me off so why did this happend when i was proving to myself i wont do?
Would god take this as a mortal sin?
I really during the previous day didnt want it to happend it happened because i woke up 30sec before i didnt even have enough time to thitnk but i feel it was my fault and i have let god down even though i wasnt planning to hurt him but i am trully sorry and my guilt is killing me i will go to confession on saturday but does anyone have anything to tell me about this?
And by the way when it happend i wasnt thinking of anything so i dont see how it could have happened without thoguht?(Lust)
Please i feel like its the end of the world!
