In the past I never had a problem with being intimate with dh but the past few years I only say yes to him about once or twice a week. If dh wants intimacy and I don’t want it am I obligated every time he asks? Would I be in mortal sin?

I think this is something you need to speak about with your DH and a priest.

We cannot know what is in your heart, or the specifics of your relationship.

Based just on the above the answer is no you would not be in mortal sin.
However it is always best to talk this over with your confessor.

“27. This subjection, however, does not deny or take away the liberty which fully belongs to the woman both in view of her dignity as a human person, and in view of her most noble office as wife and mother and companion; nor does it bid her obey her husband’s every request if not in harmony with right reason or with the dignity due to wife; nor, in fine, does it imply that the wife should be put on a level with those persons who in law are called minors, to whom it is not customary to allow free exercise of their rights on account of their lack of mature judgment, or of their ignorance of human affairs. But it forbids that exaggerated liberty which cares not for the good of the family; it forbids that in this body which is the family, the heart be separated from the head to the great detriment of the whole body and the proximate danger of ruin. For if the man is the head, the woman is the heart, and as he occupies the chief place in ruling, so she may and ought to claim for herself the chief place in love.”

You may need to respectfully and calmly discuss your concerns with your husband, who may consider giving thought not only to his sexual desires, but to his wife’s state of mind. You do give as he asks a couple of times a week, but perhaps he also needs to realize that to pressure a wife continually can make the issue one that causes her to find it distasteful altogether at any time.
It is supposed to be a mutual expression of conjugal love, not merely a duty forced upon one. Mutual respect is required.

Thank you for all your replies. I will go to confession and ask the priest this question. I haven’t asked this question in confession before because I really did not want to know the answer.

I’d also encourage you to discuss with your husband. I’m sure you have, but in marriage ongoing communication is vital. Reassure him that you are committed to him and understand the importance of physical intimacy. Discuss with him any factors that might make you less inclined towards sex on any given occasion (tiredness, stress, phase of cycle, etc) so that he can understand better and not take it as a rejection - which us men tend to do!

The frequency of sex, like any matter in marriage, may need to be discussed and negociated (to use a fairly cold, but appropriate term).
