Am I on the right path regarding Reiki?

I’ve told myCatholic friends who have Reiki performed on them for relaxation that it is against the teachings of the Church. I’m not sure why except those who “do” Reiki call upon the angels (never Christ). My question to my friends is this: how do you know that they are not calling upon a fallen angel?? Am I on the right path in my thought process regarding Reiki? Thanks!!
