No, you are not over reacting. Our own Church has a long and beautiful musical tradition, is it possible that there are any Catholic concerts going on in your area? I live in a rather rural area, but one of our churches is having an Advent concert before Mass on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception - all of the music is Gregorian Chant and Polyphony. It’s free, and most importantly, it is from our own rich musical treasury. Give your youth a taste for something better~
