Am I right to complain or do I have to cope with it?

Good evening. 🙂

I don’t know how I should feel. :o

I’m a student and I live too far from school to eat at home, therefore I have to lunch at the canteen.

The fact is that the queue is very long. If one doesn’t run -and it’s literal-, one will have to wait standing up at least thirty minutes before eating. Furthermore the queue is packed, therefore we have to press against each other - needless to add that breathing becomes complicated -being on time too, for we logically have less minutes to eat-.

We obviously complain about this statement of fact, yet nothing has been done.

I don’t know whether I’m right to feel angry toward the people who take care of the canteen, or if I may be overreacting ?

May God bless you. 🙂

well since you’ve brought it to their attention and they haven’t done anything about it, then they probably won’t at all. I’d pack my own lunches, would be alot less waiting

I agree with the idea of packing your own lunch. If there is a microwave available, you can pack something that is easy to warm up. That would work for really cold days. Other days, a sandwich or a salad might be nice.

You have a right to complain AND you have to cope with it. Even if you complain, they might not do anything about it, however, it’s worth a shot. If other student agree that it’s a problem, you might form a group and launch a more organized complaint. In the meantime, make your lunch at home and bring it with you.

Brown bag it. Prepare the cold items the night before and the hot items in the a. m. You will probably eat better and avoid a lot of germs and sickness. If you start others will follow your example, get a table before the crowd and you can eat in peace.🙂

Good morning. 🙂

Thank you for all your replies. 🙂

I thought about packing my own lunches - we’ll see what will happen. 🙂

Thank you for your help. 🙂

May God bless you. 🙂

This is pretty standard amongst the post secondary cafeteria options. Between classes at my university, the coffee kiosk served around 500 customers. I work at a popular coffee shop and we don’t see that kind of traffic in a day let alone in a 10 minute period. What do you suggest they do about it to fix the problem?
