Am I still a Catholic if I am a non-Catholic minister?

I am/was a Catholic. Through the magic of the Internet I have now been ordained by an interdenominational, interfaith organization called the Universal Life Church Monastery (Unitarians). My personal ministry will concentrate on penal institutions. Does the Mother Church still consider me a Catholic able to receive the sacraments … or an apostate and not eligible to receive the sacraments.

A Catholic is not permitted to be “ordained” in a non-Catholic church or ecclesial community. While you are still a Catholic, you have to some extent separated yourself from communion in the Catholic Church. I can only recommend that you not approach the sacraments until you are ready to renounce your “ordination” and repair your communion with the Church.
