Am I still welcome in the Catholic Church?

I became Catholic at the Easter Vigil 2008, I haven’t been to Mass since the Easter Vigil 2009. I want to go back to Mass and receive Communion and I know that I need to go to confession first, but my question is am I still welcome? I don’t want my priest to look down on me for not going to Mass like I should.

A priest is a father in the faith, not a snob. His role is to reconcile Catholics with God and the Church, not to judge them for faults they are trying to correct. You are certainly welcome to return to the practice of the faith. Just go to confession and return to attending Mass. Welcome home!
