Am I worthy to take the communion this wk?

I have three girls; 8, 13 and 17. I have been trying to explain to them when they are worthy to take the communion and when the need to go to confession before receiving communion, but I am not really sure of the criteria. I would assume that there are multiple situations on both sides, but as a father, they are looking to me for answers. So, I’m looking to you for answers, lol HELP
 
The main criteria for Catholics to receive communion is that they be free from mortal sin. If someone has committed a mortal sin then he/she should refrain from communion until after having confessed the mortal sin.

Otherwise, Catholics simply reflect on any possible venial sins during the Penitential Rite and ask forgiveness before receiving communion.
