Yesterday, at a Church function, my wife was given a St. John Paul II, relic. They had many left over so I asked if I could one of the extras for a friend. My friend and his wife are going through a very rough time in their marriage. The wife is practicing Catholic, the husband is not. My wife very “sternly” gave me her opinion that we should give it to another family friend who is a staunch Catholic very strong in his faith, that he would appreciate it more.
My thinking is that my friend who is going through a tough time might just get more out of it in the long run. I understand he and his wife may not get something out if it but my gut says to do it anyway.
Am I wrong in my thinking?😊

Your ‘gut’ feeling could also be God speaking to you and letting you know what you should do!

Any act of kindness and mercy is pleasing to God.
God is not just for the people we perceive as devout.

I think you did a noble thing.
God bless you.
You never know what the Holy Spirit and our newest Saint has in mind for them. 👍
Peace.

You know God’s doing business when He tells you the right thing to do through the gut!
Given the situation you are in, I think what you’re thinking of doing is pretty charitable and noble, and I’d definetly support it. 👍
