Do the angels & demons get judged at the general judgement? I should know this but forgot.
yes, they do.Do the angels & demons get judged at the general judgement? I should know this but forgot.
Because (as I said) the angels did not enjoy the beatific vision when they made their choice. It would be impossible for an intellect endowed with free-will to choose against God if this intellect were made fully aware of the true nature of God. BEFORE becoming inexplicably aware of this Divine Nature (by sharing in the beatific vision), angels were also offered the choice of faith in God or faith in themselves. It is the same choice we are offered everyday, but we can make a different choice everyday, because our intellect is fickle and imperfect. But, for a perfect intellect, the choice would never vary (even if it was wrong). It seems hard for humans to grasp how an angel could choose against God when possessing perfect intellect.
Really? Do you not see that gangs and crime syndicates (and even nation-states) unite with evil purpose? “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” What if your enemy is God?In addition, the gospels seem to state that the demons are united force (united with satan as their head). I don’t seem to understand how a fallen force could possess unity.
Dang dude, your pretty sharp. How do you know all this? That’s a really good answer though. Explains it very well. I’ve perplexed over that so much recently.Because (as I said) the angels did not enjoy the beatific vision when they made their choice. Makes sense. That explains it well. So technically there is no unity, just unity against God and satan leads the charge against him. So satan is only a leader amongst those who hate God.Really? Do you not see that gangs and crime syndicates (and even nation-states) unite with evil purpose? “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” What if your enemy is God?
Thank you for your response. I’ll reflect on this. Kindly - Jamesyes, they do.
At the end of Christ 's 1000 year reign as King , there will be a war because, even then, some men nave rebellion in their hearts. Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit for a “little while” and the war begins. Jesus ends the war. At that time there will be a judgement called the Greart White Throne Judgement, whereas all the fallen angles, Satan, demons, people in hell, Anti-christ, and the False prophet come for thier judgement.
We, who are in heaven and the angels, actulally sit in a knd of jury box to take part in this final judgement. The verdict is given.
This is what the place called the Lake of Fire was created for. It is the Second Death. Satan and ll the rest are thrown into the Lake. It is kept on earth as a witness for all to see, well after earth is totally purged by fire and made anew. And then we shall have Eden again once more for eterity.
All of this is in scripture and I am sure you can do a word search for the important words like…
Great White Throne
Lake of Fire
Second Death
