Hi all, has anyone watched this amazing speech by Jim Caviezel of how he ended up acting as Jesus in the Passion of the Christ?

Jim is a devout catholic, prays the rosary each day, fasts on bread and water on Wednesdays and Fridays, and is a big supporter of Medjugorje, He says it was Medjugorje that brought him back to the catholic faith, and brought back his devotion to Our Lady, He has said that if it wasn’t for Medjugorje he might never have acted in the Passion of the Christ, because he would have remained a lapsed/ lukewarm catholic otherwise.

I thought it was amazing that he felt as a child in the cinema once, a strong urgency from God, that God needed him to be an actor.

God needed him in the Passion of the Christ and countless other movies, to portray to mankind, the straight and narrow path.
 
Interesting of medjugorie. Met people there who got inspired. By the familiar spirit. Duter. 13 .
 
I went to Medjugorje.

It is purely sacramental.

Mass on all day in multiple languages.

Everyone goes to two masses a day.

Adoration each evening for one hour.

3 rosaries every day. Stations of the Cross.

The largest queues for confessions in the whole of Europe. 50 priests hearing confessions at a time.

Testimonies of people who left the church coming back through medjugorje.

Jim Caviezel has said he would have remained a lapsed catholic who never prayed and never acted in the Passion of the Christ, had he not converted when he heard the story of Medjugorje and began to pray the rosary every day,

All of that is wonderful, but Medjugorje still isn’t an approved apparition, and has been denounced by the local bishops…
 
Regardless of everything, Jim Caviezel is such an inspiring example of a holy catholic working in Hollywood, 🙂
