I think this is great. The dolls looks so sweet and wholesome now. I also can understand and even agree to a point about the dress up aspect of fashion dolls. I think it can be accomplished without going to the extremes that the Bratz dolls and more than ever, Barbie dolls.

I think there is a significant different between the heavily made-up immodest look vs. the more refined elegant beauty. The difference between a Kardashian and a Grace Kelly for example.

I think the Bratz are different than Barbies, though. Barbie had an established history of being about fashion from 1959 forward, and she also has had everyday outfits and career themes. The Bratz came along in a later era and to me they seem to go along with that “dress like a porn star or at least a gangsta chick” trend.

Sometimes fantasy doll play among kids is a mix of elements. Monster High and Ever After High are popular now, and some adults might not care for the look of the monster dolls, or the super-skinny body build of either type. But I think the point of them is more fantasy or theatrical than anything.
