How did it go today, Lily?
I got through the pre-testing. It was pretty close. My friend had her own dr appt to get to as well. I hope she made it on time.

I would’ve walked out on my testing if they hadn’t gotten to me by a certain time since she had to drive an hour to get to the county she lives in, switch from work car to home car which had her paper work in it, and then, get to her appt. I told them that too.

Anyway, I had blood drawn, an EKG and x-rays. And tons of extremely personal questions. It’s days like today that I wish Mama had been with me. I blanked out on my meds list (couldn’t find my bottles to take with me). Luckily, they had them in my chart and on the computer.

The girl who wheeled me to the x-ray room got me there in 5 minutes. The girl who wheeled me back took her sweet time. And all I was thinking was about my friend’s dr appt. (This woman has gone above and beyond the call of duty helping Mama and I out.)

I’m glad the pre-tests are over. Unless something abnormal shows up in the results, I am ready for my surgery next Monday. Need lots of prayers to get through it. (After surgery, I’ll be totally on liquids for a month.)

Prayers your way, Lily!

I’m glad this part is over for you, too.

Not as over as I thought. They phoned me @ 9am to tell me I had an 11am appt for a CT scan of my chest. I hit the roof because I didn’t know if my friend would be available on such short notice and because it was such short notice! I mean, they waited until the day of the appt to tell me of this appt after telling me the other day that all tests were finished.

I pray this is the last of them because I have 2 days to finalize everything here before going in the hospital. Having to go in for tests is very inconvenient but especially when you find out 2 hrs before the appt. I’m just so glad my friend was able to take me down and stay with me.
