I seriously doubt one of the purchasers was an actual pedophile because I can’t imagine any pedophile wanting to bring that sort of attention to himself. The book jumped from 158,226th in Kindle sales to 65th due to the controversial subject matter and people wanting to see what the book was all about. I doubt that there are that many Kindle owners who are also pedophiles.
It was likely just an author willing to play people and make a quick buck off of a controversy. I just hope the thousand or so bucks that he made from sales is worth all of the notoriety that he has now and the risk to his safety when somebody finds out where he lives.

Excellent. I rejoice that American literature has reached such heretofore unimagined heights of sophistication. It’s dizzying, really. The author will inevitably serve as an inspiration to future writers poised to break down the barriers of taste and basic morality, restrictive as they can be of humanity’s progress.
I await such future literary breakthroughs bearing such necessary titles as, perhaps, “The Serial Murderer’s Guide to Creative Homicide: A Rhapsodic Romance With the Knife and Cord”, or “Beloved Son and Nephew: Incest is Not a Four Letter Word”, or “You Are Not Dead to Me: the Necrophile’s Little Black Book”.

I saw on the news that Amazon pulled the book and I am glad. I too voiced my ire of this book.
However, keep in mind, Amazon and ebay, still have books that you all may have not heard of being sold everyday. I read there were 2,000 complaints in just a few hours and I went to the website yesterday and a majority of the people writing in wanted the book yanked.
You know me, I’m no boycotter…but this takes the cake. I have been shopping with Amazon for years, and yes, I shop ebay and Overstock. While it is true we will never be immune from filth such as this, I believe the “writing” campaign worked, as one poster pointed out.

I’m Glad to see they have removed it.
I would like to remind some folks about Amazon and the World as I have had to remind myself.
There is good and there is bad. Be Angry its ok. It is not ok to sin. This situation is disturbing, the world is disturbing. Take this oppurtunity to glorify God, not ourselfs as christians. I thought these words of Saint Paul’s might fit the Occasion I hope they help who ever may read as they have helped me.
If you share your thoughts with Amazon or the World make sure your thoughts are loving and firm.
Remember to pray and to forgive.

How do you have friends when you are told that there’s something inherently wrong with you?

Wasn´t the writer self-described manic-depressive?? If he is mentally ill, where, oh where is his family or, if he has not any, his legal guardian? Someone should watch after him, before some sleaze goes and tortures or kills him.
