I am not despairing or delerious. It’s just a considered opinion of what the future might hold. I pray for our country every single day. I love my country and even served in the military years ago. But it is becoming something else. Something very different from a free republic.I’m sorry, while I too am worried about these things, we need to be careful about what we see or comes to us. How do we know Satan is leading you to despair, if this truly isn’t just the ramblings in your head.
Read again. He was elected again 2020 after an unmentioned President served from 2016 to 2020.Secondly, the whole post gets off at Obama being reelected in 2016.
One of the main points of the post was to demonstrate how the majority of Americans are leaning left and that trend seems to be growing. Look at the split in the last several elections. Conservatism, once a bastion of democracy in America, is on the decline. Our young people seem to be embracing socialism by the droves.Anyway, I think you’ve taken a little too much far right koolaid (though i’ll admit better than far left kool aid) and you need to actually pray. I doubt any of this will happen, but if you start praying,it won’t. Something betterwill come along
And I disagree that Obama wouldn’t want to be elected a third time. I think he would love another crack at it, especially if the majority was behind him. He loves the spotlight. Someone like him always “has more work to do”. But I hope you are right that “something better will come along”. But for that to happen, we will need a Republican party that can get off the neocon train and get back to conservative principles but yet not be so divisive on immigration and social issues. How does that happen? shrug I have my doubts, that’s why I think the Republican Party is becoming deeply fractured and weakened as a result.
