America Should Be A Thocracy Run By Christians

Jesus already revealed where the true theocracy is already and always present. “The Kingdom of God is about, around, and within you.”

And yet we’re all looking for an external, outside, and empirical theocracy.

Good point. As he told Pilate, “My Kingdom is not of this world.”
 
I don’t think the conclusion follows from the premises in the argument. The problem here is that America was not founded purely on Christian values (its laws and institutions were founded on ideas borrowed from European philosophy and political thought) and it is not true all Americans are Christians. What I think is more to the point is that the U.S. Constitution embodies a strong principle of separation of church and state, and there is a very strong tradition in America which runs against the state endorsing a national religion. This may not always be so, and at some future time America may become a theocratic country.
