I think the Ancient Aliens transported the Ark to America, where it was promptly hidden by Sasquatch. At least, that would make a perfectly reasonable documentary for History channel.

I find it strange how many ‘prepare for the end of the world’ type shows on that channel now LOL, whether its zombies, or an alien invasion, it seems someone in charge of programming there is trying to tell the audience something…?
Actually, its not just History channel, you can find end of the world shows just about everywhere now, and a few of them are amazingly detailed, one I watched, I still wonder about, they had experts from all kinds of defense industries, Military and scientists, they were explaining how to survive a zombie outbreak, there was no joking, no sarcastic themes, they were being 100% serious. Btw, by a zombie outbreak, Im not talking about the dead coming back to life and eating the living, Im talking about some kind of chemical attack wich would render a good amount of the population into mindless killers, which I realize is not much of a stretch and could happen fairly easily.
I even had a few people claim these shows are on now for a purpose…as in they foresee something that is going to happen soon that will cause a break down in society and all these shows are an attempt to help people survive. IDK about that, but something is definitely causing these networks to air these kinds of shows left and right. This was not the case just a few years ago.

My reaction to the episode about America’s Stonehenge.
gasp You mean to tell me that these two cultures who both built solstice-predicting monuments positioned them along the same line? I’ll give you a little bit, in that they were both on the solstice line, but there’s really nothing special about them both being oriented along it. That’d be like trying to read something into the fact that anywhere where people drive on the right that the driver sits on the left. And gasp! This line also passes through a major ancient city?! Would you be saying the exact same thing if it were a different ancient city?

I, too, was going to bring up the Warehouse where the Arc is kept. And I’ll put my two cents in against the sorts of documentaries that the History Channel puts on. One problem with it, since I believe that I am smart enough to know this sort of thing is BS, is that it then casts doubt on any real historical documentaries they may try to show.
I personally avoid the History Channel, National Geographic, the Leraning Channel because of the **** they put on. However, my wife thinks that those shows are better than dramas where people get killed, so she often has them on when she can’t find anything else. (Give me a good mystery or even a bad SF show any day! But we know who wins these sorts of arguments…)
I caught bits of the marathon, something about the Grail in America (when everyone who has read Charles Williams’ novel War in Heaven knows it’s in an Anglican Church in Fardles, England), but what really surprised me was one about an underground wall beneath a town in Texas. There was all sorts of wild speculation (including the star’s comment about “I’ve encountered giants before” when the speculation that the wall was built by giants was mentioned). The really surprising thing was he declared the wall was of natural origin, just an interesting geological formation from tens of millions of years ago.
That shocked me that this show would accept real science, but even a broken clock is right now and then.

Oy vey! My dad (not a Christian) is watching this America Unearthed show… They’ve moved onto pushing the Dan Brown - DaVinci Code “facts” as historical. How the Templar knights secretly brought the Ark (Mary Magdalene… rolls eyes - you know the Dan Brown rubbish)… This is firstly incredibly offensive… Would the History Channel broadcast a show that claimed Jewish authorities secretly hired Hitler to wipe out all those Jews (and Christians) to cover up some secret that the Jewish authorities didn’t want the Jews to know about? I wonder how that would fly?
And, why…if this is a program about unearthing America…are they focusing all their attention on undermining Christ and His Church? Bloody bollocks!!
My question for you dear brothers and sisters is, because I am a Catholic and only practicing Christian in my family, how might I approach my family who watch this show and may buy into it? I feel like a coward because I don’t know what to say and find I am often too quiet and not standing up for our Lord. It really hurts to see this rubbish being spewed and I feel isolated in my faith round my family. Does anyone have any suggestions?
And, why…if this is a program about unearthing America…are they focusing all their attention on undermining Christ and His Church? Bloody bollocks!!
