I’ve heard about it being somehow involved with planned parenthood and/or embryonic stem cell reasearch or something of the like, is this true? I was thinking of participating in this year’s relay for life but I might reconsider.

It seems ACS does not directly fund embryonic stem cell research but supports this type of research and opposes outlawing it.

Regarding PP, yes they did give a small amount in grant money for a smoking cessation program in Iowa. It’s a rather big leap to say they are “involved” with PP. Link to the report on ACS giving to PP.
