Might as well start one now …

They keep saying that there is great talent this year … but I thought last season had much better talent.

However, having said that … I’ll be rooting for Taylor Hicks!!!

There’s just something about the guy that just makes him so likeable!
 
Lets keep this up…I watch AI every year 🙂

None of the guys stand out for me right now. Several of the girls I think are good…its too soon for me to pick a fav yet.
 
Quite a few good girls, haven’t really heard any of the boys yet… it’ll be interesting…I’m impressed with the talent (compared to X Factor for example) but I think last years was a lot better.

Nobody they get will be better than Carrie Underwood! 😛
 
Here are my favorites for this season:

Boys:
Ace Young
Elliot Yamin (excellent version of that Stevie Wonder song)
Taylor Hicks (the best!)
Jose “Sway” Penala (gotta root for the pinoy - REPRESENT!)

Girls:
Paris Bennett
Lisa Tucker (16-year-old with that amazing voice)
Melissa McGhee
Katherine McPhee

I would love to see Taylor Hicks make it as the AI this year, but the ones I’ve mentioned got a heck-of-a-lot of talent! 👍

The bald headed rocker guy who did Bon Jovi,
and the guy with all the grey hair.
I’m sure one of you will tell me their names. :o

**BTW **- does it bug anyone else when they call the guys “the boys”? Just sounds really awkward.
And I can’t believe they didn’t boot off that smart alecky girl who is always posing for the camera. :rolleyes:
 
We didn’t watch the gals’ first performances, but from what we did see of them the right ones got the boot last night.

Of the guys I wanted to see more from the guy who did Copa Cabana. He has sparkle and is a real entertainer. Maybe his voice isn’t the best, but he has personality to spare. And the other poor guy wasn’t all that bad, but the competition is about who is the best not just who is all right, isn’t it?

I agree with Michael, I think it will be one of the guys, either Ace or Taylor. Ace is good looking and knows how to make the girls swoon, while Taylor has power and raw talent. It’s going to be interesting, that’s for sure.

I thought the coca cabana guy was awful! It will be interesting to see who we all like and dislike as the weeks go by.
 
We voted for David - the dark headed 17 year old who sang This Thing… Called Love - he’s a friend of a friend and an awesome kid. I don’t think he was the best necessarily - bad song choice if you ask me but I hope he doesn’t get the boot too soon.

My favorite is the guy with the premature grey hair. I just LOVE that style of singing.

I didn’t really care for any of the girls… except maybe the youngest black girl (not Paris - although she was good too)
 
Taylor Hicks - Bham native and talented.

If it can’t be him, I like Paris Bennett.
 
I really like Paris. She was just so impressive. I think she is my favorite.

Ace reminds me of Constantine from last season (remember him??) - knows how to play to the camera, and make the girls swoon…

…but Taylor’s my man! (the grey-haired guy) - what a great talent!
 
Last year I liked Bo Bice…

I haven’t made up my mind for sure this year…

My Daughter said the same thing about Ace & Constantine and I agree! UGH! I couldn’t suffer that Constantine pout week after week last year!:banghead: I’m sure Ace will go all the way because he has a decent voice and he is cute. Look for Paula to gush like a fool every week:rolleyes: My favorite out of the guys are Taylor and Elliott although Elliott does not have the “look” and Taylor has a “look,” which is different. I also like Chris (the rocker that sang BonJovi). For the girls,I really like Katherine’s voice. Ayla did a great job with her song. Choosing the right song is really important. Most of the girls are pretty good this year, we’ll just have to see.
