I reckon it’s ‘real’ only insofar as the characters are non-actors who are playing a version of themselves.

Yes, at this point I can’t even ‘laugh through the tears.’ And it’s hard not to retreat to a soul-deadening cynicism about politics in general as a result.

The ‘antics’ we are witnessing are not our fault. I propose mandatory Civics classes for all.

It’s a good thing that people are having a negative reaction. I now refuse to watch anything associated with the current goings-on. I’ll read a bit, get sick to my stomach, but I am willing to read and be informed, but to actually watch it? No.

Our election may be entertaining to Australians–goodness knows there have been more shenanigans than any soap opera could hope to include in a season’s episodes. However, it’s not so amusing to us who are waiting to find out if we’re going to be facing continued persecution in the name of PC ideology, and/or worse, over the next four years.

Will I be happy when the elections have come and gone? That very much depends on the outcome.

Am I sick of the whole thing? Yes–to the point of feeling physically sick.

Am I looking forward to Christmas? Always.

Will it all be over Nov. 8-9? Maybe, maybe not. I hope so, but of course in favor of the candidates for whom I voted.
 
I realized yesterday that there is the undercurrent of stress and fear in my daily life over this election cycle. Both candidates are, in my opinion, absolutely dreadful and will be danger to this country on national and international levels.

Please forgive me if you do not agree with my assessment. I am not trying to start a political fight. I’m just expressing my fear and stress.

Well, at least I have a grand opportunity to practice my faith – to live in the care and love of God, rather than placing my trust in the princes of the world. And because of this I absolutely MUST take more walks with my son, and do more knitting, and spend more time laughing…

I think I’ll take November 9 off from work, just to spend the day in prayer and in tears. It’s also my birthday, so seems a good idea. 😃

I get that folks tire of the election coverage, but I suspect our lives under a certain candidate will be far worse than simply having to watch her campaign. I don’t get the sentiment that we can get this election over and get back to normal. Transgender bathroom lawsuits in the USSC, subversive Catholic groups, leftists USSC nominations that favor death over life, and corruption in all facets of government being used to ensure the rest of us plebes are treated with contempt and injustice while the ruling class breaks any law they deem inconvenient are not normal. They are abhorrent. I suppose for a non-American, the election is simply tiresome, but Americans have to live with this garbage. Our lives will not be better. They will be worse.

Just tonight at Church, a lady I was talking to mentioned to me how sick of it all she is, and I fully agreed with her. I am just sick of it. Madeup stories of airplane harassments, laughing about a twelve-year-old girl being raped, emails, and all the rest. There always, always has to be a “sex scandal,” don’t you know. Really.
