Americans converting to Islam make up for number of Muslims leaving their faith

Earlier this year a Pew survey showed that, in the United States, 23 percent of adults who were raised Muslim no longer identify as members of the faith, almost exactly equal to the 22 percent share of Americans who were raised Christian and no longer identify with Christianity.

However, Islam is gaining a lot of converts from other religions (or from irreligion), while Christianity isn’t.
