Washington, DC – A new CNN poll finds the majority of Americans disagree with giving pro-abortion President Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize. The survey also finds Obama hasn’t done anything to merit the prize, for which his name was placed into nomination, at the earliest, just days after he took over the White House.

My biggest objection to his prize wasn’t that the didn’t do anything to deserve it (he didn’t!) but he also is prochoice, and seeks to expand the abilities of women to get abortions, and silence the opposition. I just can’t see awarding a prize for “peace” to a man who approves of the murder of several million innocent children a year.

Also, the fact that he was nominated at the point where he was all talk just goes to prove the influence of liberal media, and the clear bias of the Nobel Prize Committee.

As someone who did support him, I agree with the majority in this Poll. What did Obama ever do to deserve this award? If they’re just giving them out now I would like to submit my name for one, particularly if they give you money with it (I think usually you get $1M right?).

Well, don’t forget that abortion isn’t considered violent or “un-peaceful” by the majority…at least in the US and probably around the world.

Agreed, but the fact still remains taht he supports this mass murder. It just seems similar to awarding the peace prize to Stalin or something.

Just curious… when did he move beyond that point?

Unfortunately when he started doing things like sending US dollars to Mexico to pay for abortions, taking over private businesses, and all of this health care and afganistan stuff. He’s had some action lately, but it’s all in the wrong direction. 😦

Well to be fair he has started engaging the international community and historical hot spots (like Isreal). This is technically all talk, but productive talk. But the thing is, we have no Israel peace deal, we haven’t “disarmed” (politically, etc) Iran or N. Korea or done anything of any great historical note. So far we’re right where we were when Bush left.

Being the first African American President doesn’t earn you this prize (IMHO) any more than just “Not being Bush” does.

Yeah, I definitely don’t think a pro-abortion person deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. What exactly has he done to earn it? He seems to have spent a lot of time making it easier to murder unborn children…not very peaceful if you ask me.

I absolutely agree with your post, with one exception: we must never use the word ‘choice’ to describe ‘abortion.’ The words are not synonymous, and to use ‘choice’ in that manner is simply making things easy for the enemy.
