Do you mean when/ if Judge Barrett gets confirmed to the S Ct and hears oral argument there? If so, why would questions be “off limits” for her, since she’ll be asking about legal issues based on the briefs submitted by the parties?

She is already a sitting Federal appellate judge, and if confirmed to the Supreme Court she will be doing the exact same work she is already doing as a sitting Federal appellate judge, except at the higher court.

Now I’m confused. Are you talking about the Judge being asked questions at her Senate confirmation hearing?

Technically, the only questions she should be asked are questions about her competency and maybe her moral fitness.

She’s obviously competent or she wouldn’t have a stellar resume and be sitting on the Federal appellate bench right now.
I doubt she’s committed any immoral act or they would have already dug that dirt when she was named to the Federal bench in the first place.
 
@Soubirous1 You need to provide material to start a discussion. A cryptic title and random picture are not sufficient. Nor is referring us to Fox News. If you wish to discuss Judge Barrett, link an appropriate article and we can discuss the issue. Because as it stands, there’s very little to work with here.

I must ask, do you have any knowledge of how Federal judges are actually nominated and confirmed to the bench?

The information I posted to you is not just my opinion. It was taught to me by my former boss, who was a Federal appellate judge, a former Chief Judge of the Court of Claims, the Deputy Solicitor General under Carter, and argued cases before the Supreme Court as an attorney in the Solicitor General’s office for decades before all that.

Your posts in this thread seem a bit intellectually lazy.
