A while back I had posted a thread asking how much money a christian should have. It sponsored a great deal of discussion and debate. All good I might add.
After pondering on this off and on for awhile I was inspired with this thought…By no means particularly novel…
The measure of the validity of ones wealth is how much good is done with it.
For instance…Many of us have investments such as retirement accounts and so forth. But few of us probably consider to any great extent how these investments effect others.
For instance:
How many people are employed by your investments?
We’ve all heard the old saying about how if you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, if you teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifeltime…
We can think of our income, spending and investing habits in a similar way.
How many people will benefit, and for what extent of time, by how I choose to use my income.
So - While I don’t have a particular question on this, I guess I’ll just ask for thoughts on how applicable or duable others think this might be.
