To my dismay and anguish, I woke this morning with the Marty Haugen classic hymn, Gather us in lodged in my head and on repeat.

I said to the song, 'In the name of Jesus, I bind you and cast you out, Marty Haugen song! In the Holy Name of Jesus, begone!"

It was replaced immediately with Regina Coeli Laetare.

Alleluia.

Gather Us In was one of the hymns that the Holy Spirit used in a major way to help my husband and me decide to become Catholic. The other hymn was “Here I Am, Lord.”
