In my years in the Episcopal Church, seven to be exact, I never saw anything remotely similar to that…but like GKC says, Anglicanism is “elastic” and eclectic. The elastic stretches about as far as Martin Lawrence’s waistline in Big Mama’s House! 
I’ve never attended but an Episcopal church near me has one service where the communicants pass the bread and wine to each other. But is it the norm for Episcopalians to kneel at the altar rail?
