In any case there is plenty of room for persecution short of actual killing.

We don’t have capital punishment and we would certainly not be killing Priests for breaking a law. They would most likely be fined. Or get probation

I posted this article simply to exemplify the strong refusal of priests to violate the seal of confession.

–I wonder what these priests would say if the authorities now told them to repeat what was told them in confession.
