This article really changed my life. So much so that I made some really profound positive changes! For years I distrusted doctors, hardly went to Mass, lived for myself and not for God. Until I read this! This is a wonderful article of which I am sure you will enjoy!

Examination of Conscience (making a good confession)

The Ignatian practice of examen adds to this the aspects of thanksgiving and questioning what God is doing and how to cooperate with it. It is not only a reflection on “how have I sinned?” but also “what has God done around me today, for which God justly deserves thanks, glory, cooperation…” and so on. It is traditionally done twice a day, once at midday and once at the end of the day.

i never even considered doing this twice a day. not until i read father corapi’s article.

Thank you, MerryCatholic! I think this will be quite helpful. 👍

Twice a day, EasterJoy? :hmmm: Well, if it works for the Ignatians… 😃

Why do we wait until so late in life to “get our act together”. Three years ago I started practicing this twice daily examination of conscience. Its really helping my prayer life too. I find that I can now spend an entire hour in morning prayer and another hour in evening prayer.

learning to say Vespers and Compline in latin too. So much to learn and so little time left.
