Over the past few years I’ve come to realize that there are no such things as coincidences. After many, many coincidences happened (as well as dreaming the future a few times, though the dreams were seemingly insignificant things that I only noticed and remembered the dream when they happened), it was clear it was too coincidental to be coincidental. Now, having believed in Christianity my whole life, I know that God is in control of everything and that He has a plan for everyone and that He makes good come from even terrible events. But this realization about the coincidences has made it more clear. Over time it seems I see more and more of these connections. Now, I don’t always know the significance of these “coincidences” but I know that they’re important in some way. Sometimes it seems I can look back and see how various events and “coincidences” led to the present circumstances, and how the present circumstances are influencing the future, clearly see all my life so far, as a giant, unfolding story (I actually consider the history of the universe the most expansive literary work ever and sometimes refer to God as the best and most brilliant author ever when I see connections throughout history and foreshadowings, etc. seeing an epic story unfold). It seems that for some time now a lot of these connections have been converging on things having to do with my various anxieties and hopes. Especially interesting are the times when I’m confused or stalled and suddenly the book or movie I’m enjoying, or even someone talking to me, will give some information or make a statement that goes along with what I’m experiencing at the time, sometimes leading to greater understanding.
Basically, I would like you to pray for me to notice more of these connections between things and to understand their significance better, and that God will give me greater understanding and wisdom to accomplish His will, whatever that may be.
