Dear Oriental and Eastern Brethren,
There is currently a thread in the Apologetics forum where the OP asks the question:
Can the Pope declare infallibly a teaching that is not officially supported by a plurality of the Bishops?
forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?p=7892999#post7892999
I have given a big, bold reply of “NO.”
I have not yet elaborated, as I don’t have the time right now (perhaps later in the day).
I would invite anyone interested to see how the dialogue progresses.
Blessings,
Marduk
