I was post-modern. I don’t know what that means. I only took the first test.

I win the prize, I’m not Catholic, and I am less than 80% so, even though I am, in fact, quite Catholic. I score as a Wesleyan, so the quiz isn’t completely bogus, I guess.

Concerning the theologian, I am nobody. The best I could do was about 50% **Friedrich Schleiermacher. **You seek to make inner feeling and awareness of God the centre of your theology, which is the foundation of liberalism. Unfortunately, atheists are quick to accuse you of simply projecting humanity onto ‘God’ and liberalism never really recovers.
That is so pathetically not me. Obviously I don’t interpret the questions to mean what they are intended to mean.

Ok, who the heck is Karl Barth? I’m a former Lutheran, and I scored 13% on Martin Luther.

Karl Barth 100%
Augustine 80%
Anselm 67%
Jonathan Edwards 60%
Friedrich Schleiermacher 60%
John Calvin 53%
J?Moltmann 40%
Paul Tillich 33%

Martin Luther 13%

100% Roman Catholic and

93 % Anselm
93 % Augustine

Yeah RC !!!

had me worried there, I was afraid I’d come out as something else :bigyikes:

Heaven forbid !

Interestingly, this is what I scored…

The daddy of 20th Century theology. You perceive liberal theology to be a disaster and so you insist that the revelation of Christ, not human experience, should be the starting point for all theology.

It means that you do not accept something as true merely because you are told to.

100% Roman Catholic, baby!

and 80% Augustine…I don’t think I’ve ever really understood pre-destination though, I prefer to let God take care of all of that:)

I’m only 86% Catholic. How sad. I’m thinking it’s my left foot that’s still Protestant…

Thanks in part to Catholic Answers, I was able to get Catholic results on three of the tests. On the six-question test from the beginning of this thread, I am Augustine; on the theological world view I am 100% Roman Catholic, and on the other theologian test I am St. Anselm. Woo hoo.

For the one, I had to do a tie-breaker question, though, because if I’d chosen differently on that question, I would have gotten Barth.

That’s funny. I scored 75% postmodern, 54% RC and 7% Fundamentalist.

You scored as Roman Catholic.

You are Roman Catholic. Church tradition and ecclesial authority are hugely important, and the most important part of worship for you is mass. As the Mother of God, Mary is important in your theology, and as the communion of saints includes the living and the dead, you can also ask the saints to intercede for you.

You scored as Anselm.

Anselm is the outstanding theologian of the medieval period. He sees man’s primary problem as having failed to render unto God what we owe him, so God becomes man in Christ and gives God what he is due. You should read ‘Cur Deus Homo?’

What is interesting is I used to be Pentecostal and that was 36 %
I converted to RC and was 93% !!! Now that is great!!

I also had 100% Anselm and John Calvin

Roman Catholic and Karl Barth

I’m going to go learn who Karl Barth is now. 😛

I scored 79% Roman Catholic. I’m not sure what to do with that since I’m actually Episcopalian. I do have a lot of Catholic sentiments and listen to my local Catholic radio station as it’s the only Christian station I can stand. I’m sure you’re all praying for me now to join the Church! Well, we’ll see . . . Fun quiz.

I am 100% Roman Catholic and 100% Anselm. Oddly, I’m also 73% Friedrich Schleiermacher. ??
