To meet someone where they are to proclaim a truth is not neccessarily counterproductive, though it can be.

And I’m pretty sure sure the Pharisees and Saducees were quite insulted when Jesus said ’ You brood of vipers…’ and "You serve your father the Devil.’ Mabey Jesus wouldn’t fit into the polite sensabilities of our modern wsorld.

In a world of Rush Limbagh, Glenn Beck, and Al Franken, I’m not sure if we have “polite sensibilities” anymore.

Of course that is part of their job, to an extent. I was just speaking of the day to day relational tact we tend to take with each other. Being oh so careful not to offend one other.
