An SDA?

Many have accused me of being an SDA because of a link that I posted.

My question is how does that make a SDA? And what does this have to do with my beliefs of the Bible? How does this profit you? Yes there are some links to adventist videos, but how does that make me of the adventist faith when I didn’t create the site?

I was even accused of being a JW, but no one even knows who I am. How do you know these things to be fact, when you know nothing about me, only that I post scriptures and nothing else.

You accuse me of abandoning threads. I have admitted to leaving threads but only because of the things that are being said.
  1. You question my authority?
  2. You call me a fool, simple minded…and so on. I do not respond to ignorance. That is not of God.
  3. You refuse to stay on topic.
  4. Too many people want immediate answers to their questions, or asks questions that makes no sense.
If a scripture says one thing and you find a scripture to disagree with it to justify your claims, then based off what you have said, the Bible contradicts itself and that is impossible.

I made a thread and someone told me they don’t worship Mary, yet I said nothing about worshiping anything. I quoted from ecclessiates and a person said I was wrong because Ezra did not say that when I never quote from Ezra. Seems like attacks to me.

It seems as though you all are trying to find anything you can to use against me and always change the topic of the thread. You have NEVER failed to do so. If your beliefs do not go with the Bible, then you should not attack me. I only post scripture.

I know I am going to receive a lot of heat for this, but what you say doesn’t change scripture.

Thanks
TS
Ok, so you are not SDA. Perhaps you believe in some things that the SDA believe in?

Truth is truth regardless who believes in it. I believe in God’s Word and if it is in accordance with the Word of God then…

But we Catholics believe that you can’t just go by what is in the Bible. The completeness of God’s word is also found in sacred tradition, and His Church.

To the OP,

Here is something you should consider.

You are intent on talking about scripture, and only wanting replies that contain scripture.

Maybe you should try posting all of your threads on the scripture portion of CAF.

After all, this is the Non-Catholic Religions portion of CAF. As you will see from the description of the forum, it is for “comparing and contrasting” beliefs.

How are we to compare or contrast our beliefs if we don’t know which Non Catholic Religion you belong to?

The Catholic Church and all doctrines and teachings are in accordance with the Word of God. Are you telling us you’re Catholic? I know you’re not, but I am trying to make a point. Let me caveat your statement for you, “You believe in YOUR interpretation of God’s word and if it is in accordance with YOUR interpretation of God’s word, then…”

Show us scripture and verse that will assure us all that you have the real truth…

:tissues::harp::bighanky: question your authority? didnt know you had authority. also if you decide to step into the ring of ideas, you better get a tougher skin. you posed the questions, and people have answered. have not seen much that could be considered a personal attack. man up or woman up. but above all toughen up. peace be to you.🙂

Is Blue a good color for you to wear?

I’m afraid if you hold your breath waiting for that answer, you’re going to turn blue. 😛

I’m new here but…from what I have seen thats not what has been going on. I have skimmed threads and just seen scripture posted and people getting irrational (quite quickly) about things that weren’t even said.

Um I don’t have a denomination. I’m actually not even sure what you’re talking about. Anyway I was just saying what I had noticed. It seemed like they gave a scripture on…lets say graven images. Then a person pops up and starts ranting saying that they don’t worship statues yet it was never said. I don’t care what was thought to be implied by the original post that doesn’t seem right. Its like accusations go flying and the basis for them is…well personal assumption.

Ah. Well, if you go to the thread that you’re speaking of, and look up at the top where it gives the URL (http.//forums.catholic-questions.org/ etc.), and ‘copy’ that, and then come back and reply here and put in the ‘link’ so that we can see what you have found, we might be better able to address your concern.

Just a thought --use of words like ‘ranting’ shows a bias toward one POV from the start. You might want to consider toning down and looking for more ‘neutral’ language. Let people examine the ‘evidence’ without already attempting to ‘weight’ one side before anybody sees either.

He’s done this before, TS123 has. Same topics. He’s not the only one who has started these topics. We’ve discussed these topics before, especially with TS, he’s starting this stuff up again.

Also, if you noticed, I answered him, but, he pushed and asked what we thought of these topics, and then he insinuates we’re wrong and will not accept the answers we give.

Please look at post #27 of this thread. It can be found on page 2.

It clearly shows that TS123 is anti-Catholic, and has a predetermined bias.

Also, please look at some of the threads he has started.

You can do this by clicking on his screen name. A drop down box will show up, and you can either click on “, See all posts”, or you can click on “view profile”, then click on “statistics”, and last, click on “view all threads”.

Look at some of the threads he has started, look at the things he says, and then abandons the threads after only a couple of posts.

That may give you a different outlook about this particular poster.

Also, welcome to CAF.

Yeah, perhaps TS123 isn’t that intelligent OR doesn’t really believe as his congregation/denomination does and he cannot logically defend their beliefs.

I am not anti catholic only anti catholic beliefs or any beliefs that do not go along with the Bible.

I would agree with that except, the people I encounter(who aren’t sure, or up to speed) are willing to at least hear, and process what other people are saying, even if the ultimately disagree with it in the end.

TS123 isn’t doing that from what I’ve seen.

But Catholic beliefs do go along with the Bible.

All of them are supported either by the Bible, Sacred Tradition, or both. And since Sacred Tradition never contradicts anything in the Bible, I repeat, there are no Catholic beliefs that would contravene or contradict the Bible.

ahh, but what beliefs in Catholocism go against the bible? we have the bible, and the oral tradition that have been passed down from the apostles. the earliest Church fathers such as clement make this clear. there were traditions handed down from the apostles, such as the papacy, infant baptism, teachings against abortion, etc. that are not in the bible, but were orally passed down from the apolstles and deemed just as authoritative as the written letters from the apostles. they were and are seen as one complete deposite of faith. the teaching of the Catholic Church is the same now as it was 2000 years ago. also, what do you do with the teaching of the trinity, that word is not found in the bible, but it was and is clearly taught in tradition. more teachings can be stated if you like. peace:)
