That shows a lack of knowledge of what faith is. Faith is not mere belief in something - Mere belief in God, or merely that Jesus is the Savior is not enough. I can prove this - Satan believes in the existence of God and Jesus’ role in redemption, and look where he’s at.Nope, water baptism is not salvic. John 3:16 tells us that when one believes in Christ as his personal Savior, he has eternal life and will not perish. Notice the clear absence of water baptism here. Continue reading to verse 17-19 and you see the Jesus tells us that if one believes in Him for salvation he is saved and if he does not believe he is not saved. Salvation is very simple. Why do we confuse the issue with a lot of man made regulations that we must follow.
