And you connect this to the posts i have made how?
I thought i would just THROW in that to make a point of you HIJACKING this thread with stuff that had nothing to do with the subject…Re: Ancient living tribe discovered in Brazil.👍

An excellent resource related to your post is the book 1491 by Charles Mann. There are some fascinating discoveries revealed in this book.
I haven’t read all the threads. Please pardon me for jumping in.
I read it. Thanks for the reference, though. It really did tie some things together for me; anomalies in the flora in this area as well as things a then-ancient son of an original settler told me when I was just a little kid, about the landscape and Indian activities in the area. Those things fit perfectly into 1491’s thesis. Of course, if the thesis is correct, no man has ever seen a “primeval forest” for millenia; only areas well-tended by man and areas that are no longer well-tended. No one even knows what a totally “natural state” would look like, anywhere human beings have ever lived.

(Edited) And what is my own back yard? And why do you assume I even approve of “my own back yard”, whatever that is, just because I don’t agree with everything you say. Are you such a bigot that you assume, just because I am Catholic and can speak English, (that’s all you know about me) that it somehow means I approve of homosexuality and other vices?
What is in your backyard is what is occuring in your society. Please see the list of social ills I’ve already constructed that exist in the west in my previous posts, that Catholics wholeheartedly engage in too and even celebrate on this website too. If such ills exist in your own society and a pious Catholic such as yourself cannot remedy such ills, then can you please tell me why you have the arrogance to think that you can somehow help attain salvation for this tribe? Please pray tell as I’m curious as to how someone whose home (society) is disintegrating before his own eyes can be a God send to another. I’m sure you’re familiar with the phrase misery loves loves company. Well from my experience, Europeans do in deed love company in their misery as evidenced by their insatiable quest to bring down other cultures to the point of decadency your cultures embrace. At one point, I thought this trait was long gone and dead but posters such as you have made me realise that this is not so. But hey, the Europe population is drastically decreasing (what with European womens love of abortion and ‘family planning’) with Arabs soon to take over so it looks like the natural end of your community will put an end to your mission of destruction…

FYIY, I never once accused you of being accepting of homosexuality. I made a rather fair and accurate statement that most Catholics in the west are as decadent as secular society and many polls will confirm that. I was not addressing you per se and if you had calmed down before you took to typing away at your keyboard, you’d have realised this.

As for imputing the fault of bigotry to my name, yes, the reverse psychology tool doesn’t work too well; I’ve already made it clear that I find you to some extent covertly bigoted so turning the accusation around on me is a bit… weak…

So I am questioning how ancient this tribe actually is? Are they remnants of a culture that went into hiding after the Spanish invasion or were they already disenfranchised from previous conquests?
I would imagine they would have a history to reveal to us. Sooner or later there will be physical contact and they may now be anticipating this contact after seeing this thing in the sky hovering over them and apparently causing a lot of distress.
I hope that whoever contacts them after this first experience is sensitive to the fear of harmful threat that human beings historically represent throughout time.

It is bigoted to assume what you assume about the society in which I live without knowing the lest thing about it. It is bigoted to make assumptions about this “lost tribe” without knowing anything about it, BUT assuming that somehow it is purer, more innocent, braver; all the things on your eight-point list.

Am I bigoted? Of course. Everyone is to one degree or another. Some recognize it in themselves, and some don’t.

It cannot be doubted that they came from SOMEWHERE. They did not, like Athene, spring fully armed from the head of Zeus. They or their ancestors came from some human community or other. As such, it is no moral crime to introduce them to others in the human community. Human beings are not some curious artifact to be put under a glass dome. Certainly, care should be taken of their health. They should be allowed to continue in their way of life if it suits them and if it does not somehow impede the greater human community to do it. But how do any of us know they would hate it if they were able to eat an ice cream cone, have air conditioning, or antibiotics or listen to Bach?

I wonder if those people are demon possessed or not, however, I hope they know the true God one day.
When i first read this question i did not see any reason for pondering it but after the posts it is evident.

At some time under the right conditions contact will have to made to offer these people the good news.

an earlier poster spoke of the aztecs i think these were the people that cut hearts out of living people and offered them as sacrifice.

For me this is demonic.

as i offered before we don’t know how these people live and “the live and let live” respect other cultures would be proved wrong if these people were to practice such.

At some time some one will need to make appropriate contact and offer them the God truth of all genuine religions

“selfless sacrifice is they way to eternal life and peace here now”

I look forward to the day when this tribe accepts the Torah and joins our tribe.

From the way they responded to the planes it’s quite clear that they wish to remain separate. I say just leave them alone.

This is of great importance:

[sign]IT’S A HOAX, FOLKS![/sign]
I am grateful for your post.

I fell the charitable sharing for the “lost tribe” under the assumption of them being lost was valuable and raised awareness on points of view.

I wonder if the lie is really of value to the preservation of their existence or opens the door further to $$ orientated people.

A lie is a perversion of truth.
Without truth there can be no lie.
Without lie there will still be truth.

This thread got a bit off track.

Has anyone heard anything since?

Is it trully a hoax?
