People everywhere turn their heads and pretend not to see. I feel great sorrow, and I see little reason for joy in this world. All my hope is in the Hereafter.
Why not “let it be”?People everywhere turn their heads and pretend not to see. I feel great sorrow, and I see little reason for joy in this world. All my hope is in the Hereafter.
Most everyone is, but here I feel a burning desire to shed light on the pain and suffering. Why not “let it be”?
I prayed for them and felt some of their pain.what have you done today so tomorrow you wont be able to type 9500 children died from starvation?
I really don’t want to minimize prayer, but if everyone just prayed and no one did anything how would anything change? God will drop food from Heaven?I prayed for them and felt some of their pain.
Yes, manna from Heaven, just like God did with the Israelis in the desert.I really don’t want to minimize prayer, but if everyone just prayed and no one did anything how would anything change? God will drop food from Heaven?
Matthew 25 that’s why not let it be.Why not “let it be”?
” 44 Then they also will answer, “Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?” 45 Then he will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.” 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.’41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, “You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.
Let me know when that happens.Yes, manna from Heaven, just like God did with the Israelis in the desert.
Wow… Sorry to hear that.I don’t think one person can invest time into helping each need in the world. However, if you feel strongly about starving children, then do something about it. Considering I can’t feed myself right now, I can’t feed children. Thank God for my momma or I would be living in a ditch.
Now, my circumstances most definitely should change and I feel strongly about other areas of need.
I was told by his CMC that she “couldn’t tell him what to do with his money.” Only that she could strongly suggest. I would need to go to civil court, but that costs money. JAG says otherwise, but who knows. I told him that he will have to answer to God about the things he does/didn’t do. He made about $10,000.00 in per diem this deployment, not including base pay and bah/bas (which wasn’t being used since I was back home) he definitely has plenty of money to help his still legal wife. I picked a really, really bad apple. Sorry for the derail.Wow… Sorry to hear that.
Isn’t the Navy taking care of you?
Do you have an ombudsman or family services center, or base or squadron chaplain you can reach out to?
God can make all happen through just a relatively few people. Bill Gates has been donating time and money to help. The president of The World Bank claims that extreme poverty will come to an end by 2030.Let me know when that happens.
Ive always found it strange that back in biblical days, there was no problem doing miraculous things like dropping manna from heaven, turning a small amount of fish and bread into very large amounts, etc. What would be the problem with dropping manna from heaven today for these suffering people?Yes, manna from Heaven, just like God did with the Israelis in the desert.
Bill Gates and World Bank, sure, but you are the body of Christ.God can make all happen through just a relatively few people. Bill Gates has been donating time and money to help. The president of The World Bank claims that extreme poverty will come to an end by 2030.
CMC is wrong. Go immediately to base family services center, or Chaplain. Navy will not allow him to shirk family obligation, and will deduct from pay if he does not file a D Allotment.I was told by his CMC that she “couldn’t tell him what to do with his money.” Only that she could strongly suggest. I would need to go to civil court, but that costs money. JAG says otherwise, but who knows. I told him that he will have to answer to God about the things he does/didn’t do. Maybe someone will set me up a Go Fund Me page. LOL. Like Gloria Gaynor, I will survive.
Yes! and why did God lead us out of Egypt anyway? …Just to have starvation here in modern times. Times when we plow under excess food because we grow too much… Christ asked his disciples “why don’t you give them to eat?” (before the loaves and fishes remember?). WE are Christ’s body here in the world.Ive always found it strange that back in biblical days, there was no problem doing miraculous things like dropping manna from heaven, turning a small amount of fish and bread into very large amounts, etc. What would be the problem with dropping manna from heaven today for these suffering people?
God has dropped food from Heaven before via UNICEF, CARE, VISTA and other organizations. The US and Christianity has helped more starving children than all other religions and countries. The US is not perfect, neither are we, but we have done that.I really don’t want to minimize prayer, but if everyone just prayed and no one did anything how would anything change? God will drop food from Heaven?
