Ephesians 6: 17 - And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The Word is your soul’s daily food to against Evil. Because we all believe that the Word becomes Flesh, does it make sense to you that Eucharist is the real presence of Jesus’ body and blood when He says:

Mathew 26: 26-28: Take and eat; this is my body. Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying 'Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the convenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins."

Jesus said “This is my body and this is my blood…” literally. So why when people departed from Jesus after saying this he did not clarify it so they would understand what was said. This is when Judas fell away also. Jesus would have said “Hey, what I mean is it represents metaphorically me and it really isn’t me” Don’t you think he would have done that, but he didn’t. It is understood what he meant. Don’t be like Judas and deny his presence. Besides that, tell me why Jesus can not be present in the Eucharist? And don’t say we Catholics re-sacrifice him at mass, that was done over 2000 years ago and we know that.

In other words, you are agreed His presence in the Eucharist. Thank you for your (name removed by moderator)ut.

I’d like to hear more from others.

Whoa there, newbie! 😃 The OP is a Catholic who was trying to make the case FOR the Eucharist.

Not everyone that comes in here is spoiling for a fight. 🙂

Agreed. I dont’ question the real presence. Those that did left him. Just to add - Many anti-Catholics think we re-sacrifice him at mass. Not true, we know he died once and for all “It is finished”. Jesus is present in the Eucharist so that when we partake in him, he is in us as we are in him. We need Jesus in us always. If you read “Catholicism and Fundamentalism” by Karl Keating you will find a chapter on this topic in great detail. It is worth every penny. Hope that helps.

Water,

If I offended you with my comments please forgive me. I have no intentions to offend anyone. Thanks.

Not at all, ddmason 🙂 I made myself to think this way when reading your reply “well, if a non-Catholic Christian reads it, it is good for him to think about the real presence of Eucharist”. So, I am not offended by it at all. 😉

All Catholics must believe in the real presence (body, blood, soul and divinity) of Christ in the Eucharist.
