Dear Brothers and Sisters:
As I shared in another thread, I continue to ponder the vision Bl. Mother Teresa had, and revealed to Father Joseph Landford, MC :

In this vision, Mother saw herself as a child almost enfolded by Mary’s presence, with Mary’s one hand on her shoulder and the other seeming to raise the child’s right hand toward Jesus on the Cross.
Jesus Himself looks as one: “unwanted, unloved and uncared for” on the cross. Is this what Mary is helping Mother Teresa (and us) to see? Mary stood at the foot of His Cross and heard Jesus tell her: “Behold your Son” and she received John standing with her. She heard Jesus tell John: “Behold your Mother” and John took Mary into his life. As Mary had cared for the child Jesus in Nazareth, now He gave her to all that she might again care for us as His Mystical Body. We in turn can depend on her, as He did, and do as John and Mother Teresa did taking Mary into our lives. (cf Jn 19: 26-27)
And so I continue to ponder this image and re-read Father Langford’s book, Mother Teresa: In the Shadow of Our Lady.
The quote at the beginning of this thread was sent to me in an e-mail today. I did not read it in Father’s book, and the person did not say where she found the quote. I did read in Father’s book these words describing Mother’s vision and what Mary said in the midst of the poor:
Who better than Mary of Nazareth could help Mother Teresa to be Christ’s Light to those in India and other dark places – even as Mother Teresa herself was sharing their darkness interiorly by God’s mysterious Providence?
