I would say, because of the spiritual death and harm that it can cause to His children 😦

If they are Doreen Virtue Angel Cards, they are dangerous, akin to the tarot.

She assumes that these cards are a connection between “your angels and spirit guides”

None of this is at all consistent with walking a Christian path. I am more than disgusted that she dares to invoke the names of the archangels, which is why and how many Christians could get confused. Apparently she now even has “Saints and Angels Oracle Cards”

Very very wrong, my friend. We’re not to try to interpret and determine the future by using any kind of divination. Using these cards do that.

Of course there’s much more information - in the Bible and the Catechism about this. And I’m certain someone here, as in the previous poster, will help you in this regard.

It gets worse, she also has “Archangel Michael Oracle Cards” and “Archangel Raphael Healing Oracle Cards”. I think she has about twelve decks out now (with more in the works). I actually have one, her “Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards”, which are as sickeningly sweet as they get.

I can’t speak for the sinfulness of the cards (Catholic members can help you with that) but she’s a big name in the New Age movement, and about as much of a “white light fluffy bunny the angels and faeries are all cotton candy sweet” person you would ever meet.

We are to trust in God alone and put our future in His hands. By divination and spiritism we are trying to control our own lives by seeking to know things that are not in God’s plan for us to know at this time. This was exactly the sin of Adam and Eve when they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Satan appealed to their desire for knowledge and power and he uses the same temptation today.

The spirits we contact may present themselves as beings on a higher level who wish to help us. But in truth the only beings on a higher level who wish to help us are the angels who God has assigned to do so, and we may ask them through prayer. But we don’t get in touch with them through divination. The spirits we contact in that manner are the fallen angels, evil spirits, who in reality want to do us harm. They are indeed powerful and may tell us some true things but most of it is lies and none of it is meant for our good.

Trusting in these things is actually a form of idolatry and is a sin against the first commandment.

I am Catholic and I use Doreen Virtue’s Angel Cards. I have seen Doreen in person twice and she is Christian yet also open and respectful to other faiths. Many of her decks revolve around angels and are filled with POSITIVE messages. She teaches, like through prayer, you can use the cards to receive messages from your guardian angels. The Catholic Church does not want you to seek anything other than the guidance of the church. Man made the church rules and the church seeks to scare you of straying into eternal damnation. As long as you believe in Jesus Christ and use the positive messages to improve yourself, it is fine. My children attend a very conservative catholic school and often my perspective is not fully aligned with this particular catholic sect. In my hispanic culture, there is a strong catholic allegiance mixed with medicine men and women who heal and provide counsel. It is hard for me to be so black and white about things. I have faith that Jesus and Mother Mary will guide me and provide me with the appropriate discernment as I only work with positive tools.
 
People who created those cards are involved in New Age, stay away from them. Many Angel name used aren’t even cited in the bible and the message is mixed with paganism. What is confusing, there are many great message of forgiveness, love, respect of nature etc… but you do have message that will literally destroy important virtue that are essential for a soul. It is cleverly orchestrated by Evil. Those people think they work for a good cause but they have been quite deceived and seduced by the dark side thinking they are serving God.

If you really want card, I think that you can find card that are approved, find a store that sell Catholic sacred object and find out. Don’t buy any angel card from a new age store or any regular store. I have seen many new age book, card, cd etc… in regular book store. If this isn’t approved by the Catholic church, don’t buy it. Destroy what you have, my advice.

Pray to be shown your wrong doing now, pray to have remorse and go see your priest to confess. Please do this for the sake of your children and yourself.

This woman is full of good intention etc… but she is sadly and greatly deceived. I pray for her.
 
There is a deck of cards that goes into ones sub conscious, that is according to the maker. It isn’t quite looking for answers as much as it is to help you meditate. Now before clicking on the link, I would like to mention that the idea of chakras is not banned by the church, for body energies can be proven. But heres the link.
