I know this title is attributed to St. Vincent Ferrer:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vincent_Ferrer
That is quite a title for anyone including a saint. I wonder what the meaning of it was. Is it just a metaphor for being a herald of God’s harsh judgement? I doubt it meant he was an actual herald of the apocalypse.
The more I read about him and see iconography of him (catholicsaints.info/wp-content/gallery/saint-vincent-ferrer/saint-vincent-ferrer-01.jpg) the more holy but terrible in a way he seems.
Any ideas?
