You certainly can pray the Rosary! It is meditations on the life of Christ while holding the hand of our Blessed Mother, given to us at the foot of the cross.

Thankyou (name removed by moderator). I’ve bookmarked these prayers. The Church I used to attend was called St Michael the Archangel

Thanks Calisthenics, I’ve got ‘The Secret Of The Rosary’ book that ironically I’ve always kept close by. I honestly believed that I wouldn’t be allowed to pray it, or that Blessed Mother Mary would not like me somehow because of the absence from Church etc. I can’t tell you what a huge relief it is to hear that it’s fine for me to pray this. I’d feel such strong urges to pray it, but then the kind of gloomy thoughts would flood in that I’m fake etc.

Yes. Isn’t it frightening to think that things like this are out there on the market that are exactly as you’ve described. Had I not asked the question I really would have had no idea.

But isn’t it kind of the same as talking with one’s own Guardian angels? Goodness! I know I’ve got some coming to me as a Christmas present. I struggle to hear from God, so I kind of felt hopeful about having the cards.
If these cards are a) any form of Tarot or b) supposed to be a tool to reliably elicit actual responses/answers from your Angel: then they are a form of divination.

Divination is magic. Magic is evil.

Your Guardian Angel will listen to your prayer, but it is the Angel’s choice, not yours, as to whether the Angel will respond in any fashion that you would notice.

Tarot cards and the like are an attempt to force responses from the Supernatural. God and the good Angels cannot be forced. Evil angels–demons-- will respond only to do you harm.

The best you can hope for from Tarot or any other form of occult action, is that nothing happens. If something does happen it will be evil spirits trying to deceive and corrupt you.

No, I was never a confirmed Catholic so I’m not allowed to go to confession

You could go and talk to the priest, whether confirmed or not.
There are not really sufficient reasons to not be a Catholic, so I hope you won’t give up on the church because you had a bad experience in one. The church is made up of sinners, so there are often problematic people, but the church herself is the body of Christ, and without you, is missing an important part.
