Are there still angels who fall from heaven and become demons?

Possibly…angels are rational beings and have free will, just like people…there are holy and righteous people who fall from grace by poor decisions brought on by free will, so I would say, yes, the same could happen to angels, but at the same time I would be hopeful that they don’t!

Interesting philosophical point is that the Sacraments were instituted by Christ for humans, and there is no talk about other rational beings (i.e., angels) being able to receive them…so, a fall from grace by man can be reversed through the sacrament of reconciliation, I’m not so sure about a fall from grace for an angel…I can’t think of scripture discussing such.

An angel is created with infused knowledge and immediately sets its will with or against God. Its choice is irrevocable due to an angel’s nature. Angels that chose to be with God aren’t changing their minds later and falling.

No, the angels that are enjoying the beatific vision now will not leave it!

The choice the angels had was irrevocable at the time of the “war” in heaven. All the angels that were created could see at a glance what the outcome of their choice would be, and one-third of them chose to not serve the Lord.

The above site tells a lot about the angels. It is important to know that they are pure spirits and do not have material bodies.

Only when appearing to humans, when necessary, they can appear like an ordinary human, or in their shining glory.

NO, GOD created the Angels before the Universe was created.
Upon their creation they made their choice, once and for all eternity.
They cannot change their choice.
And we need to understand that in the realm of Angels and GOD, Time does not exist.
Peace!

The short answer is no. You never have to worry about Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, or any of the other, unnamed, angels falling.

Well technically the seven Sacraments we have all require a degree of matter to perform and so would not apply to the Angels. God is not limited to the seven, though, so it is entirely possible that there are Sacraments for angels. For those that did not fall it is likely there aren’t even Sacraments at all because they are close enough to Him to receive His grace directly and without vehicle.

Either way, the major issue with fallen angels and Reconciliation is not a deficit of matter, but of intent. Fallen angels, as far as we can tell, can no longer form the intent to ask forgiveness.

It is a little inaccurate to speak of the angels in terms of our own temporal understanding. While it is correct to say that their decisions have been made, they are permanent, and there will be no “surprise fallen angels”, it is also worth noting that there is some speculation on the angels’ experience of time. St. Thomas Aquinas holds that they live in an aeviternity, a different experience of time from ours and from God’s, kind of a middle ground.

The battle in Heaven depicted in Revelation is, in some ways, an eternal struggle between good and evil. Are the angels “fallen” or are they also “falling”? It’s difficult to apply human language to the realm of angels.

Yes and Revelation suggests that 1/3 of them fell or are falling.

Once you’re outside of time there are no take-backsies.

Mods please delete this it wont let me i made a separate forum post for myself to ask this question!

If you change the name of your own question it will let you post it. Maybe add a comma or a question mark. 🙂 @anendlesswaltz
