God Love Ya , as we Irish say,

Could you kindly settle a question between myself and another Catholic Answers member? In Genesis it speaks of the “Nephilim”.
He contends these are actually male angels that impregnated women at that time.
Based on what my Jerusalem Bible footnotes say, I contend that the Nephilim were ‘sons of God’, which has been understood as descendants of Seth.
Which of us is correct, or do you have a differrent answer?
Thanks for your help.

Dear Jim.

It ain’t so! Angels are spirits and do not have bodies. So they don’t have genders either—even though some of them have been given masculine names. They are certainly unable to have sexual relations with anybody. You win!
