Plenty of Pentecostals/Protestants have encountered Angels at their services through either seeing them physically with own eyes, spiritual eyes, feeling their presence, seen by children or even filmed or photographed. Could Catholics share (of recent) encounters they had personally (not Saints) of Angels during mass, taking the Eucharist or Adoration etc.

Once during Mass I saw angels around the priest at the altar.

7_Sorrows it must be an amazing experience to see that. God bless you

They were around the priest’s shoulders in the air watching over him as he said the
Mass.

If only there is pictures from that mass - I love the Angelic

Not me, but my sister was telling me about the angel she had sensed at our old church back home. I don’t remember exactly what she said, but that it was very, very large. As in, towering.

The priest at our church has seen it/sensed it as well. She told me how he had made a veiled reference to it in one of his homilies.

I know it’s a good habit to acknowledge other people’s guardian angels when you’re in a group. It’s also a good habit to acknowledge the protective angels of particular locations. I try to remember, but I often forget.

Once I was a lector at an early morning Mass, kneeling, I saw a huge angel with praying hands, standing behind my Priest as he lifted up the chalice. I remember blinking and rubbing my eyes, looking up again at the altar, as my priest lifted up the Host to heaven, I saw a huge angel, this angel must of been at least fifteen feet tall, with praying hands over my Priest head, while the angel’s bodily figure was faded like smoke, the angels huge praying hands was visible.

After Mass, I informed my Priest of what I saw, when he lifted up the chalice and the Host. Father James told me, as if that was the norm, when Father James asked me, “Oh, you saw my angel also?” Father agreed that his angel was very tall, and told me, his Angels name is Raphael.

I was taken back by Father James response, when he spoke to me about his Angel as if it was the norm of his Angel who always celebrates Mass with him.

So one has to question why Angels would be seen at another religious instutition out side the Catholic Church. Especially a Protestant church, because the entire name is based on protesting the catholic church.
Or do Angels show up at any place of worship as long as it is Christian in nature ?

An then what exactly is the spiritual or physical benefit of seeing any spiritual being ?

One could see a Heavenly being or feel or what ever, or one could see the boogey man, aliens , ghosts, demons, either way one has to pay bills and go to work, and or find a way to stay alive another day. So what really is the big deal if one sees something spiritual or not.

{ Disclaimer, this is not an attack on anyone in any shape or form, just a response, I may come back to this to see if there is a reasonable answer to what I have asked, but I will not engage in any baiting or arguing, if one attempts just know I could careless and you are wasting your time trying. }

yeah I guess there are times when they are able to prevent something from happening or help those in need, and that is something to be thankful for, but as for just sitting around and seeing i mean, i don’t find any benefit in that. It for me would be no different than looking at a piece of art.
