Since angels bear light does this mean that they are beings powered by nuclear fusion? As I understand light is naturally made from nuclear fusion within the suns core.

Angels are purse spirit. They have no matter and are not powered by nuclear anything.

There are non-nuclear and non-solar forms of light. The light angels bear is a metaphor, it is not physical light.

The reference is to a metaphor, which uses the name Morning star (planet Venus) for the king of Babylon (oppressive King Nebuchadnezzar II). In the Vulgate translation Lucifer is used. Lucifer means light bearer. Satan fell from his original glory bright as the morning star.

light is energy, God must generate his own energy, and that may be how the angels get it.

They also are invisible, in the true sense, and do not emit light that eyes can see.

I am sorry. I apologise if this seems in any way unkind to you…I actually mean it as a compliment.
After all my decades of teaching. In spite of having lectured on angels, particularly regarding the Patristic writers, I have never encountered “angel” and “nuclear fusion” joined in one expressed thought before.
