I know the Angelus is said at noon in the Latin Rite tradition. I am confused during Lent if the Regina Coeli is said in Lenten time.

I’m not sure when we say Regina Coeli. Do we pray it during Easter or Lent at noon?

During Easter.

Easter - think about the words. Queen of Heaven, rejoice! Alleluia!

Easter to Pentecost is the Regina Coeli; the Angelus is said during the remainder of the year.

And the way I learned it is that both are said not just at noon, but thrice daily; for myself, 6 a.m. (dawn), noon, and 6 p.m. (dusk).

God bless!

We live across the street from our parish church and the bells in the tower ring every day at 6am, noon and 6pm. to call us to pray the Angelus except during the 50 days of Easter which begin at Easter and end at Pentecost. You can also pray along online or in the cities where Relevant Catholic radio is heard. I have included online prayers from www.relevantradio.com for you click on to.
