Angelus Press Daily Missal Help!

Hello,

I just received an Angelus Press Roman Catholic Daily Missal 1962 from a friend here on CAF in the mail today and I am completely lost!

Can anyone help me on placement of ribbons &c., for like today? I am brand new to traditional Latin mass, by the way.

Find the Ordinary and put a ribbon there. Find the Proper for the Mass you
will attend and put a ribbon there. Look for references to other page
numbers you might have to turn to, such as the Preface. God Bless!

Place one ribbon on the “Sixth Sunday After Pentecost”. This will be July 30th.
Place another on the Ordinary of the Mass 1. Mass of the Catechumens.
I have another placed at the Preface.
Locate June 26 - SS John and Paul, Martyrs (today) and place a ribbon there (located in the Proper of Saints, after the Ordinary of the Mass).

That leaves you two ribbons.
i have one placed on the Litany of the Blessed Virgin (towards the front) and one placed on Various Devotions (towards the back)

Thank you for that help JM3. I have a question, though, what do I do on days like tomorrow where there is no Proper of the Saints?

When there is no daily Mass, the Sunday Mass is repeated (feria=weekday), or the priest may celebrate a votive Mass, in which case he would probably announce it, or it would appear in the bulletin, or on a board at the entrance to the church. In many places, tomorrow is celebrated Our Lady of Perpetual Help. You may find that Mass in a section near back of the missal, called Mass in certain places or similar. The Mass is actually Gaudemus, here.

If you are brand new to the EF, I would actually recommend that you not try to use the missal at first, because many people get so preoccupied with trying to follow and keep up with the priest that they miss what is happening at the altar. I would watch for at least a few weeks, using your existing knowledge of the Mass, then gradually use the missal as you become more comfortable with the flow.

Or use the missal only for the ordinary at first. Then, as you get used to the parts (and daily differences) add more.
 
I used the Missal today while watching the mass online and I found it fairly easy. It took about as much page turning as my first time using Christian Prayer for the LOTH. I will just have to keep watching this mass online because I want to get more familiar with it before I start attending.
